This is in continuation of circular number 91 dated August 10,2023 on Observance of ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ on 14th August 2023. In order to observe this day, a five-day exhibition on the “Story of India’s Partition” is being organized by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICIIR) in association with Ministry of Culture from 14th to August 2023 at Swadhinata ‘Sangrami Padia in Bhubaneswar. This exhibition will be a comprehensive display of agony, sufferings, sacrifices, struggles and pain of our people who lost their lives due to the partition of the nation and were displaced from their roots. This exhibition will also remind present and future generations of Indians of the need to remove the poison of social division, disharmony and further strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony and human empowerment.
All schools situated in Bhubaneswar are therefore requested to encourage their children to visit the exhibition (Class 7 to 12) in large numbers. Schools can also conduct and participate in Quizzes, Debates, Acting, Singing and Painting Competitions for the children at the venue on related themes.
