Subject: CBSE Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival (Guwahati event) – 2023 – reg.
Dear Principal,
In continuation with the CBSE Circulars issued on the subject mentioned above (CBSE Circular No. 95/2023 and 102/2023), it is to inform that Skill Expos and National Guidance Festival (NGF) scheduled on 20th September 2023 at Dehradun (Uttrakhand) has been postponed due to administrative exigencies, new date of the said event shall be informed shortly.
Schedule of the next Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival (NGF) is as follows:

- The schools under the jurisdiction of respective Regional Offices of CBSE as mentioned above may register using the above-mentioned links.

- Schools must use their cbseshiksha.in email id to register for participation in the respective Skill Expo.
- Detailed guidelines of Skill Expo and National Guidance Festival (NGF) are annexed as Annexure A and B, respectively.
- Principals of all affiliated schools of the Board are urged to encourage their students for maximum participation in this event.

Guidelines for participation in CBSE Skill Expo 2023
- This event is restricted to the schools under the respective CBSE Regional Offices as mentioned.
- Schools must use their @cbseshiksha.in email id to register for participation in respective Skill Expo.
- There is no fee for registering/ participating in the CBSE Skill Expo.
Important details for the CBSE Skill Expo at Guwahati:
- Venue: Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Near Games Village, Lalmati, Guwahati, Assam – 781029
- Date of the event: 27th September 2023 (Wednesday)
- Timings: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Schools under the following Regional Offices are eligible to participate:
- Bhubaneswar
- Guwahati
The details of participants must be provided through the Google form (using the respective link mentioned above) along with a brief write up about the exhibit.
Participation: The students may participate in any of the following 02 categories:
- Category I – Classes 6 to 10
- Category II – Classes 11 to 12
Minimum two teams can be registered by a school, preferably one in each category.
- The teams would be required to submit the details of their respective projects (title, description, list of materials used, images, video) within the stipulated time-frame.
- The schools whose exhibits have been selected for displaying in the Skill Expo shall be notified by email (on the email id provided at the time of Registration) giving ample time to the participants to prepare their exhibits.
- The participating school/ team would bear all expenses related to participation in the event including lodging/ boarding arrangements at the venue city.
- Skill Expo will be organized at two levels: Regional level, and National level.
- The screening of the entries would be done before the Regional/National level exhibitions.
- For the Skill Expo, a School Team will be represented by: 1 teacher & 2 students per skill selected o 1 mentor Skill teacher
- Minimum one and maximum three skills from one school can be exhibited.
- The names of the students and the mentor teacher, once registered, cannot be changed at any stage of the exhibition.
- The school team(s) participating at Regional and National Level must remain the same.
Themes and Sub-themes for the Skill Expo shall be:
| 1. Local to Global | Bridging the gap, Remote Working, Destination Branding |
| 2. Future Tech | AI, Blockchain, Robotics |
| 3. Health and Wellness | Health Tech, Genetics, Molecular Biology |
| 4. Hospitality & Tourism | AR/VR presentation of tourist destinations, Village Branding |
| 5. Sustainability & Environmental Conservation | Climate Change, Waste Management, Sustainable Innovation |
| 6. AVGC Sector (Animation, Visual effect, Gaming, Comics) | Media, Design Thinking |
| 7. Traditional Arts & Crafts of India | Entrepreneurial activities for preserving and popularizing traditional arts and crafts. Economic upliftment activities focusing on the regional specialties like textiles, handicrafts, pottery, sculpture, metal work, woodwork, jewelry, paintings, masks, puppets, etc. |
The project/exhibit to be showcased may be:
- process used to create an item/product.
- application of entrepreneurship
Care should be taken to use eco-friendly innovative material in the preparation of exhibits.
Schools can either prepare or exhibit one skill on their own or they can include experts in the particular field also.
The themes/ sub-themes once selected cannot be changed. Similarly, the skill chosen cannot be changed.
The exhibits will be assessed by a team of experts as per the following criteria:
| a. Creativity and imagination | 20% |
| b. Originality and innovativeness | 15% |
| c. Scientific thought / principle / approach | 15% |
| d. Technical skills, workmanship, craftsmanship etc. | 15% |
| e. Entrepreneurship, scalability and utility for society in future | 15% |
| f. Economics (low cost), portability and durability | 10% |
| g. Presentation – effectiveness of display and relevant explanations | 10% |
Certificates will be awarded to the selected best entries.
The decision of the committee members/ experts for screening the entries will be considered final.
