The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a system of central government schools in India that are administrated under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. KVS providing a common syllabus and system of education, the Kendriya Vidyalayas are planned to ensure that the children of central government employees do not face education disadvantages when their parents are transferred from one location to another. And The KVs are very cheaper than most popular private schools in India. The result of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is the best among all the institutions as the pass percentage is the highest. The reputation of KV Schools across in India is very good.
Tuition fees are charged for Kendriya Vidyalaya students have to pay the school development fund (Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi), with the proceeds spent on the development of that particular school. Students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and children of KVS employees are exempt from tuition fees. Girls who are their parents only child from class 1 onward are exempt from tuition and school development fund.
KVS has the MP Quota which involves some special provision under which admissions are given. Members of Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha can recommends a few number of students for the admission. But these Special Provisions only works when KVS is located in the constituency of the MP. All members of parliament could recommend up to 10 students from their constituency for admission to a Kendriya Vidyalaya.

How to Apply Online for Kendriya Vidyalaya Online Admission 2022-23 for Class 1?
- First of all the Parents / Students visit at the Official Website Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Admission Portal https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/
- Now click on Register for “KVS Online Admission For Class 1”.
- Read as given Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) general instructions, admission rules, regulations and guidelines very carefully.
- For the first time user, Student needs to register or sign-up in the portal. To register/sign-up, the following information of the child needs to be filled.
- After entering the login to the admission application portal.
- Login Code (generated after successful registration)
- Date of Birth
- Mobile Number.
- After entering the above information correctly, please click on the ,”Login” button to open the online admission form.
- The admission application form is divided into 5 sections, Basic information, Parents details, Choice of schools, Upload documents, Declaration and submit.
- At the end of this page click on “Proceed” button.
Priorities in KV Admission 2022
- Category I: Children of transferable and non-transferable central government employees and children of ex-servicemen.
- Category II: Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of autonomous bodies / public sector undertaking / institute of higher learning of the Government of India.
- Category III: Children of transferable and non-transferable State government employees.
- Category IV: Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of autonomous bodies / public sector undertaking / institute of higher learning of the State Governments.
- Category V: Children from any other category including the children of Foreign Nationals who are located in India due to their work or for any personal reasons. The children of Foreign Nationals would be considered only in case there are no Children of Indian Nationals waitlisted for admission.
Note: Preference in Admission to wards will be based on the number of transfers of the parents in the last 7 years.

A Child must be 5 years old as on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought for Class I. (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.)

RESERVATIONS IN KVS ADMISSION
A. SCHEDULED CASTE, SCHEDULED TRIBE AND OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES CATEGORY
- 15% seats for Scheduled Caste
- 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes
- 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) shall be reserved in all fresh admissions in all Kendriya Vidyalayas.
B. DIFFERENTLY ABLED CATEGORY
3% seats of total available seats for fresh admission will be horizontally reserved for Differently Abled-children as per the provisions of RTE Act, 2009. Read in conjunction with Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
