Generally Lakshadweep Union Territory Government Holiday is as per following Government School, CBSE Schools, ICSE Schools, Private Schools, Colleges respective teachers, lecturers, administrative staff and students.  We have provided 2023 Holidays in Lakshadweep Union Territory Govt Holidays for your information. Certain districts have local festival holidays, check your school and college calendar.

NOTIFICATION

F.No.35/02/2018-Genl: /2677 The Hon’ble Administrator, Union Territory of Lakshadweep is pleased to declare that the holidays specified in Annexure I & II below shall be observed as closed holidays and Restricted holidays for UTL Administration during the year 2023 in all Government Offices under the Administration of Union Territory of Lakshadweep. In addition, each employee will also be allowed to avail himself/ herself of any two holidays to be chosen by him out of the list of Restricted Holidays.

Annexure -I

Closed Holidays for Lakshadweep Administration for the year 2023

The above holidays are also applicable to Banks in Lakshadweep. In Addition to above 01.04.2023 will be closed holiday for Banks on account of annual closing of Bank Account.

Annexure – II

Restricted Holidays for UTL Administration for the year 2023

The date of Holidays in respect of Idu’l Fitr, Idu’l Zuha (Bakrid), Muharram and Milad-un-Nabi (Birthday of Prophet Mohammed) will be declared upon sighting of the moon.

This is issued with the approval of Hon’ble Administrator vide Diary No.744 dated 20.12.2022.
