Madhya Pradesh Free admission in recognized private schools under RTE 2023-24
What is Right to Education Act (RTE)
Provision of free admission of children belonging to disadvantaged groups and weaker sections in the first class of private schools.
The rules made under the Right to Free and Compulsory Child Education Act came into force from 26 March 2011. Under the rules, the process of admission in private schools and Kendriya Vidyalayas for the children of deprived groups and weaker sections has been prescribed.
Under the Right to Education Act, it is mandatory to give free admission to children belonging to deprived groups and weaker sections on minimum 25 percent seats in class 1 in non-grant recognized private schools or in the admitted class of private schools starting from pre-school education. Arrangement for reimbursement of fees as per rules by the government.
The children of these categories of families living in the neighborhood of the school will be able to take advantage of the above facility.
Last date of application for free admission is 23 March 2023 and selection of 25 percent children by lottery.
Free study facility up to class 8 in the respective school after admission.
Process- Free Admission under RTE Quota
Online Process
The applicant himself will be able to register online in the prescribed form by visiting the portal. Any one document related to eligibility has to be uploaded along with the form. The copy generated from the portal should be kept safe by the applicant.
After online application, it is mandatory to take all the original documents mentioned in the application and go to the verification center which is the Government Public Education Center nearest to your village/ward. After being eligible in the verification, they will be eligible to participate in the online lottery process. If found ineligible after verification or does not go for verification, then the admission eligibility will be cancelled.
Online Lottery
Only the locked applications registered on the portal will be included in the lottery process. Seats will be allotted to students in schools through randomization based online lottery in a transparent manner through a centralized system. Defective, incomplete, applications registered more than once will not be included in the lottery process after being canceled and their list will be available on the portal along with the reason.
Applications of applicants residing other than village/ward, neighbourhood, extended neighborhood will not be included in the lottery process.

- Option for online application and error correction on the portal from 13/03/2023 to 23/03/2023
- After online application, download the receipt in 02 copies from the portal and verify the original documents from the verifier officers in the nearest verification center (Government Public Education Center) from 15/03/2023 to 25/03/2023

General FAQ RTE Madhya Pradesh 2023-24
Question: We do not have the birth certificate of the child?
Answer: Parents or guardians should apply for the birth certificate of the child (by visiting the district hospital) before the date of online application.
Question: Child does not have disability certificate?
Answer: Get the certificate of disability as soon as possible by filling the form for the certificate of disability (by visiting the district hospital).

Student registration has been done, now what to do after this?
Answer: After filling the application, submit two copies of the application form and documents to the office of your block education officer. Check the admission status in the result after the lottery. If the name has come in the lottery then go to the school and get admission done.
Question: What is the fee to be paid in the school after getting admission under RTE?
Answer: The admitted student will not have to pay any fee, the fee will be reimbursed by the government to the school.
Question : How many schools can we choose for our child?
Answer: You can select at least one and maximum number of schools from the list which will be shown to you in the form.
